Members Only // Styling a Colorful Jacket

Members Only. Jacket required.

Ok not really but how cool is the name Members Only for a company?? Then add the fact that they made a faux suede moto jacket in baby blue and really I mean, come on, too good!

I love adding pops of color in unexpected ways. Now I know normally getting a jacket in neutral tones is the way to go because they are usually expensive and in a neutral color you can at least wear it with everything. BUT.. don't underestimate the power of a bright colored jacket to become a staple in your wardrobe! You just have to know how to pick ‘em.

The key is to look at what you already have in your closet. Do you have a bunch of grey? Go for a blue or army green jacket. Maybe a bunch of tan? A marigold yellow or red jacket. Or if you're like me and most of your closet is black and white, well you're wardrobe is just begging for any color statement jacket!

This Members Only jacket has a lot of attitude and I love adding some edge to a look. What’s really fun too is that it’s in a baby blue; so you have this hard and edgy jacket style covered in soft, yummy, BABY blue faux suede. How fun is that juxtaposition?! Ok, I'm done // the things that get me excited // Clothes make me happy, it’s a thing.

This might be outlandish and a bit excessive, but this jacket also comes in a baby pink..so ya know.. gender reveal ideas perhaps?? I don't know, everyone around me is having babies and I’m seeing a ton of blue and pink // FYI not pregnant // The point is it comes in pink too.

I went with a size XS (I’m 5’3” for reference) and it fits a tad loose in the arms // short people // but I like the look of a bunched sleeve and the body has just enough room to wear with a t-shirt or light knit. This jacket is the perfect piece to throw on casually for the day with a white tee and black jeans and then transition into a night out with some over-the-knee boots and a lacy black top! I made the look a bit more interesting by pairing it with my flared Free People jeans and a low cut black bodysuit from Revolve

Adding a pop of color to any outfit makes it more interesting and eye-catching! Branching out and using that color in your jackets is a unique way of using color to elevate your style. So if you’re looking to brighten up your wardrobe or just feel like upping the style ante.. definitely give the colorful statement jacket a go.
